Forty-six grams. That is lighter than anything else we sell, including the G3, and it is the reason to buy this device.

At 24.1mm wide and 14mm thick it sits in a shirt pocket without pulling the fabric. Most pod kits announce themselves. This one does not.

What makes it interesting is that UWELL did not gut the specs to get there. The battery is 1100mAh, the output goes to 35W, and the pods hold 3ml. Those are real numbers, not compromises.

Twelve colours

Six standard and six with more character.

Night Black, Slate Grey, Light Silver, Lake Blue, Grass Green and Bright Pink are the plain set.

Champagne Gold, Coast Gold, Dusty Indigo, Paddy Green, Peafowl Emerald and Phoenix Purple are the richer finishes. Peafowl Emerald and Phoenix Purple in particular have depth that the standard colours do not.

Twelve is more choice than almost any pod kit offers, and on a device you carry visibly that matters.

Two ways to set the airflow

A slider on the side, and the option to load the pod in either orientation. Each gives a different airflow character, and combining them gives you a wider range than either alone.

Reviewers recommend using both: rotate the pod to get roughly where you want, then fine-tune with the slider. The device suits MTL and tight RDL, which is what it was designed for.

Takes both GPP and G3 pods

Compatible with the GPP range at 0.4Ω, 0.6Ω, 0.9Ω and 1.2Ω, and with older Caliburn G3 cartridges.

That backwards compatibility is worth real money. If you already own a G3, your pods work here. And because the G3 pod fits the G3, G4 and G4 Mini, you can keep one pod type across several devices rather than stocking two.

PRO-FOCS 4.0

UWELL’s fourth-generation flavour technology, which they rate at 35 percent better flavour satisfaction and 35 percent longer cartridge life than the previous version. On a pod kit, cartridge life is the running cost, so that second figure matters more than the first.

The pods use U² construction, combining ultrasonic welding with a U-shaped channel design, which is UWELL’s answer to leaking and condensation.

1100mAh in a 46g body

Reviewers report a full day for moderate users and up to two days of heavy use. Charging runs at 5V/2A over Type-C.

Safety is handled with overcharge protection, short-circuit prevention and an 8-second cutoff, so it will not fire in a bag.

G4 Mini or G3?

How to use

Charge fully before first use. Fill the pod from the side, leaving a small air gap, and let a new pod soak for five to ten minutes before your first puff. Fit the pod magnetically and inhale. To set the draw, rotate the pod to change its orientation and use the side slider to fine-tune.

Use 50/50 e-liquid on the 0.9Ω and 1.2Ω pods. The 0.6Ω and 0.4Ω handle 70/30 freebase for more vapour.
