This is the device that started it all. Before pod systems were a category, there was the JUUL, and the shape it introduced has been copied more than almost any product in vaping.

It is the original model, not the JUUL 2. Smaller battery, smaller pods, and a simpler light system. What it still does better than almost anything is get out of the way: no button, no screen, no settings, nothing to fill.

A traffic light for your battery

Tap the device and the LED tells you where you stand.

Green means 50 to 100 percent. Yellow means 25 to 50. Red means below 25 and time to charge.

Three colours, no numbers to read, and you can check it at a glance across a table.

200mAh with a magnetic dock

The battery is sized to last roughly one pod, which for most people means a day of moderate use. Charging is through a magnetic dock that snaps onto the base and plugs into any standard USB port.

There is no port on the device itself, so the dock is not optional. Keep it somewhere safe.

Takes original JUUL pods only

This device uses JUUL pods, which hold 0.7ml and give around 200 puffs each. They come in 50mg and 15mg depending on flavour.

JUUL 2 pods will not fit. The two generations use completely different formats, and neither works in the other device. If you already own JUUL 2 pods, you need the JUUL 2 device instead.

No pods are included with this device.

Original JUUL or JUUL 2?

Worth being straight about, because both sit at 95 AED here.

The JUUL 2 has a 350mAh battery against 200mAh, pods holding 1.2ml against 0.7ml, a smart light system showing e-liquid level as well as battery, and a chip in every pod that the device verifies as genuine. It also runs at 18mg, which sits inside the UAE regulatory limit.

The original JUUL is the older design. Its pods are 50mg or 15mg, and its light shows battery only.

Buy this one if you already own original JUUL pods and want a replacement device. If you are starting fresh, the JUUL 2 is the better buy at the same price.

How to use

Charge the device on the dock before first use. Push a JUUL pod into the top until it seats, then inhale. There is nothing to press.

Tap the device to check the battery colour. When the pod runs out, pull it out and fit a new one.
