Why high VG changes tobacco

A tight MTL draw concentrates flavour into a small amount of vapour. It reads sharp and immediate, which suits a dry tobacco.

Sub-ohm does something different. More vapour, lower temperature per unit, and the flavour spreads out across the draw. Tobacco benefits from this more than most profiles, because the woody and roasted notes have space to separate rather than arriving all at once.

The 78 percent VG also means it wicks properly into a sub-ohm coil. A 50/50 liquid in the same tank leaks past the seals and spits back at you.

Three blends

Pure is the purist option. Traditionally dried tobacco, earthy and dry, no sweetness and no cream. At sub-ohm wattage the dryness comes through more clearly than it does in a pod, which some people love and others find austere.

Barista layers roasted Arabica coffee over Havana tobacco with a light sweetness beneath. This is the one that gains most from a sub-ohm setup. The coffee and the tobacco sit as separate notes rather than merging, which is not the case in a tight MTL draw.

Creamy Bold brings Madagascar bourbon vanilla and custard over Havana tobacco. The extra vapour volume makes this one genuinely rich. If you have found dessert liquids sickly but want something smooth, this sits in between.

A sub-ohm device at 50 watts produces several times the vapour of a pod kit per puff. Three milligrams in that vapour delivers a similar amount of nicotine to 20mg in a small MTL device. Going higher would be uncomfortable.

How to use

Shake the bottle before filling. Fill your tank to the marked line, leaving a small air gap. On a fresh coil, let it soak for ten minutes before your first puff. At sub-ohm resistance a dry coil burns on the first draw and you will taste it until you replace the coil. Store upright, cool and out of sunlight.
