Sams Vape Max is 70VG/30PG freebase at 3mg, built for sub-ohm tanks and direct-to-lung devices. If you run an OXVA VPrime on a 0.2 ohm pod, or any tank at 40 watts and above, this is the liquid it wants. Salt nic at 50/50 in that setup spits, leaks and tastes thin. High-VG freebase does not.

What the 70/30 ratio actually does

Vegetable glycerin is thick and produces vapour. Propylene glycol is thin and carries flavour. Seventy percent VG gives you dense clouds that a sub-ohm coil can wick properly, with enough PG left to keep the taste sharp rather than muddy.

Run this in a pod system and it will be too thick to wick, and you will burn coils. Run 50/50 salt nic in a sub-ohm tank and it will leak and the nicotine will be overwhelming. Match the liquid to the device.

Why 3mg is the right strength here

A sub-ohm device at 50 watts vaporises far more liquid per puff than a pod kit does. Three milligrams delivers about the same nicotine per session as 20mg would in a small MTL device, because you are inhaling several times the vapour.

This is also freebase rather than salt. Freebase gives a firmer throat hit at the same strength, which most DTL vapers prefer. If you want smoothness, you would go salt, but salt at sub-ohm wattage would be far too much nicotine.

Sub-ohm devices get through liquid quickly, which is exactly why the format exists. A DTL vaper might use 10ml a day where a pod user manages 2ml. Buying in 30ml bottles at that rate is expensive and inconvenient.

How to use

Shake the bottle before filling. Fill your tank to the marked line, leaving a small air gap. On a fresh coil, let it soak for ten minutes before your first puff. At sub-ohm resistance a dry coil burns on the first draw, and you will taste it for the life of that coil. Store upright, cool and out of sunlight.

Storage and safety

Keep out of reach of children and pets. Store away from heat and direct sunlight. Once opened, use within a few months for the best flavour.
